I am this. I am not that. I love to love. To write, to make, to think, to speak … to play, to eat, to sing, to listen … to love.
In a modest home in Columbus, OH, my husband, two children,2 cats, and three fish do what we do as well as we can do it.
Having dragged my feet for most of my adulthood, the art, writing, and film I am working on is a combination of pent up ideas and the careful reflection of new ones. I am most interested in connection — and the trials and tribulations that come with creating, finding, and maintaining it.
I received my BFA in sculpture (with minors in math and art history) in 2008. I sold my first piece of copy in 2009 to a greeting card company. I married Mr. Matthew Irving in 2010. I made a holiday album called The Cats of Christmas Spacetime with former band Le Bon Bon Chat in 2012. I collaborated with my husband on our first professional film, Coffee & Catharsis, in 2013, and I had my first art show since college later that same year. Currently I am trying to learn to be an acceptable and most loving parent, write a television series with my husband, complete a set of drawings, and in general, appreciate life and those who make it so amazing.
